Sometimes you might have a surplus of seeds. Instead of putting them on that shelf in the back of the shed for next season, why not pop some in an envelope and leave them for someone to find. This is a great way to get someone started on the adventure of growing their own food. Seasonal, easy-to-grow seeds are a wonderful gift to a stranger.
These envelopes (in the sidebar) are designed in a way that you only need to place a little piece of tape or a sticker on the back for it to close securely. It is a good idea to wrap the seed in a piece of paper or perhaps a piece of foil so the tiny seeds don't fall out when the envelope is opened.
Givers may also choose to write a personal message on the inside of the envelope. This would be a lovely surprise for the grower.
